Starting Gun

The start of the Friendship Sloop Race in Rockland in light air and close action at the start of the Baldhead Sloop Fleet in the harbor. This painting shows the split second after the starting gun is fired with two sloops right at the line on a perfect start. This still painting cannot show that the sloop at the far right has caught a fresh breeze and is overtaking the two lead boats. Fun action and beautiful boats.
